who identify as white and having wealth, to explore:

• Where we each personally fit in the spectrum of wealth and income
  
• How our money + whiteness affects our relationships
  
• What makes us uncomfortable about all of this
  
• New possibilities for personal wealth sharing and redistribution
  
• Creating supportive community

Amira has participated in the economic justice movement for over 25 years as a financial resource sharer, community organizer and, most recently, a racial healing facilitator. Her social justice work focuses on increasing awareness of the ways traditional philanthropy reinscribes the very racial and economic inequality that

it purportedly tries to address.

Currently, Amira is working towards her LPC at Naropa University's Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Counseling program.

Over her three decades of working at the intersection of finance and social impact, Lisa’s helped many people with wealth direct their money towards building a more racially and economically just world. She’s led deep explorations of racial wealth disparities, community-powered financial structures, and solidarity economy investments – and she’s learning to explore her own racialized identity from Amira! Today, Lisa leads Figure 8 Investment Strategies, investment advisory firm whose mission is to shift the balance of wealth and power.
